Haryana paddy procurement crosses 15.52 lakh tonnes, Rs 1,221 crore paid to farmers

Government agencies in Haryana have successfully procured 15.52 lakh tonnes of paddy during the ongoing Kharif procurement operations. Farmers have received Rs 1,221 crore in disbursements to meet their financial requirements.

The Chief Secretary has reviewed the procurement efforts and stressed the need for coordinated action among stakeholders involved in the process. To ensure transparency and reduce irregularities, Aadhaar-based biometric verification has been implemented across procurement centres.
