Haryana youths destroy 55 mobile phones, pledge to quit crime and addiction

A group of young men in Haryana's Nuh district publicly destroyed 55 mobile phones in Sukhpuri village, pledging to abandon criminal activities. The phones, which they claimed were used during involvement in unlawful activities, were smashed as a symbolic gesture of breaking ties with their past and committing to a lawful future.
The initiative followed a police awareness campaign launched by Nuh Superintendent of Police Dr. Arpit Jain, designed to encourage individuals involved in crime to reform and become productive members of society. The participating youths vowed to earn livelihoods through honest means and contribute positively to their communities.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Abhishek Khatkad and Station House Officer Sachin Kumar attended the event and commended the participants. Officials emphasized that effective policing extends beyond arrests, stressing the importance of rehabilitation and creating opportunities for those genuinely seeking to change their lives.
