Jofra Archer Bewildered As Wanindu Hasaranga Dismisses Himself In Bizarre Hit-Wicket Mode

Wanindu Hasaranga handed England a crucial wicket in the strangest manner, clipping his own leg stump with his bat during a T20I encounter. Attempting a wild swipe across the line against a slower delivery outside off, Hasaranga lost control of his follow-through after missing the ball. The bat travelled around his waist and flicked the bails off, resulting in a hit-wicket dismissal.
The incident drew amusement from the unusual reaction of England fast bowler Jofra Archer, who initially had no idea he had taken a wicket. Already walking back to his mark after completing the delivery, Archer only realised Hasaranga was dismissed when the batter walked past him towards the dressing room.
Sri Lanka collapsed for 124 in the final T20I, allowing England to chase down the target in 9.4 overs. The victory completed a 3-0 series sweep and extended Sri Lanka's losing streak against England in T20Is to 15 matches.
