Howrah home becomes hub of parliamentary rebellion against Mamata Banerjee

A residence in Howrah has emerged as the headquarters of a significant political rebellion within West Bengal's ruling Trinamool Congress. The development comes after 20 rebel TMC MPs announced their decision to merge with NCPI, a relatively obscure state-level party that has suddenly catapulted to national attention.
The mass defection marks a serious challenge to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's political grip, with the breakaway faction establishing its base at the Howrah location. NCPI's sudden rise in prominence reflects the growing fissures within the TMC, traditionally considered a cohesive political force in West Bengal.
