HRERA freezes accounts of 71 builders for non-payment of Rs 446 crore dues

The Haryana Real Estate Regulatory Authority (HRERA) has ordered the freezing of bank accounts belonging to 71 builders who have failed to pay outstanding dues totalling Rs 446 crore. The action aims to enforce compliance with regulatory obligations and protect homebuyers' interests.
The move reflects HRERA's crackdown on errant developers who have not met their financial commitments. Such enforcement measures are part of the regulator's ongoing efforts to ensure accountability in the real estate sector and safeguard consumer welfare.
