Hyderabad water board saves 18 MGD during Krishna Phase-II maintenance

The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) conserved 18 million gallons per day (MGD) of water by diverting it to a Phase-III reservoir during planned maintenance on the Krishna Phase-II water supply system.
The diversion strategy minimized treated water wastage that typically occurs during such shutdowns. By redirecting the water supply, the board also managed to reduce the overall maintenance period, ensuring uninterrupted service across the city.
