ICC introduces five-run penalty for time-wasting, allows pink balls in day Tests

The International Cricket Council has announced new playing conditions set to take effect from October 1. Batters will face a five-run penalty for time-wasting during matches, a measure aimed at maintaining the pace of play.
Among the changes, pink balls have been approved for use in day Tests, expanding options for daytime Test cricket. The ICC has also introduced modifications to One Day International and Twenty20 International rules as part of its ongoing efforts to evolve the sport.
