IIT Roorkee and University of Calgary launch joint doctoral degree programme

IIT Roorkee has entered into an academic partnership with the University of Calgary to introduce a joint doctoral degree programme. The initiative aims to provide research scholars with opportunities for advanced study and cross-border academic collaboration.

The programme will enable doctoral candidates to pursue research under the supervision of faculty from both institutions, combining academic resources and expertise from India and Canada. Students will have access to laboratory facilities, research networks, and scholarly guidance from both universities.

This collaboration is part of broader efforts by IIT Roorkee to strengthen its international academic ties and offer students globally competitive research platforms. The joint degree programme is expected to enhance research output in key technical and scientific fields.
