More IITs set to offer BTech Cyber; JEE Main admission requirement to be dropped

Several IITs are planning to introduce BTech in Cyber Security next year and will drop the JEE Main entrance exam as an admission requirement for the programme. The institutes plan to replace the current selection process with an aptitude test combined with a hackathon-based evaluation system.

This move aims to streamline admissions for the specialised cyber security degree while identifying candidates with practical problem-solving abilities alongside theoretical knowledge.
