India Adopts China-Style Security for NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam Amid Paper Leak Concerns

The National Testing Agency has introduced extraordinary security measures for the NEET UG 2026 retest scheduled for June 21, drawing inspiration from China's Gaokao examination system. The measures include Indian Air Force deployment to transport question papers, heightened surveillance of paper setters, and restrictions on communication channels to prevent leaks of confidential information.
The government has restricted access to Telegram until June 22 amid concerns over digital platforms being misused to share leaked exam material. The approach mirrors China's security framework, which involves police escorts for exam papers, armed guard storage, and isolation of question paper setters from outside contact for extended periods.
