Piyush Goyal Urges BRICS Members to Deepen Economic Integration

Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal on Friday urged BRICS member and partner countries to open their markets, streamline regulatory processes, and accelerate cargo clearance to foster deeper economic integration. Addressing the BRICS Business Forum's opening session, Goyal called for greater cooperation among agri-tech startups across BRICS nations to develop solutions for farmers and enhance food security.

Goyal advocated liberalising services markets, including smoother cross-border movement of professionals and mutual recognition of professional qualifications. "Let us open our services markets to each other in a real sense," he said, emphasising the importance of collaborative growth within the grouping.
