India condemns Pakistan's crackdown in PoK, calls for global accountability
India's Ministry of External Affairs has strongly condemned Pakistan's handling of protests in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, where demonstrations were met with violence resulting in multiple deaths. The Joint Awami Action Committee, operating under a ban, had organised rallies demanding equitable distribution of refugee seats.
The MEA also flagged violence and alleged electoral irregularities surrounding upcoming elections in the region. India has called on the international community to hold Pakistan accountable for what it characterised as violations of basic rights and democratic principles.
