India Digital ADR Summit 2026 concludes with focus on fairness and human oversight in dispute resolution

The India Digital ADR Summit 2026, organised by the National Forensic Sciences University in Gandhinagar, concluded on 13 September with a valedictory ceremony attended by senior judiciary members and legal practitioners. The two-day summit brought together judges, arbitrators, academics and institutional stakeholders to deliberate on key issues shaping India's dispute-resolution landscape.
Discussions covered artificial intelligence in arbitration, digital dispute-resolution platforms, institutional arbitration, mediation, emergency relief and enforcement of arbitral awards. Former Supreme Court Judge M R Shah, Gujarat High Court Judge Nikhil S Kariel and Senior Advocate Ratan Kumar Singh participated in the closing ceremony.
Campus Director Dr Purvi Pokhriyal emphasised that the summit marked a beginning rather than an endpoint, highlighting the need to define what kind of dispute-resolution system India would require over the next two to three decades as the nation undergoes rapid transformation.
