India in talks with China for alternate air route as Pakistan airspace remains closed

India is in discussions with China to establish an alternate air route, sources said, as Pakistan maintains its ban on Indian aircraft transiting through its airspace. The closure of Pakistani airspace has disrupted flight connectivity between India and several destinations in Central Asia and Europe, prompting New Delhi to seek alternative pathways.
The proposed route through Chinese territory would enable Indian carriers to bypass the Pakistani airspace restriction and restore connectivity on affected routes. Sources indicated that negotiations are underway between the two countries on the modalities of such an arrangement.
