India in talks with France to join sixth-generation fighter jet programme FCAS

India has officially entered talks with France over joining the Future Combat Air System (FCAS) programme, a sixth-generation fighter jet initiative. The development represents a significant step in defence cooperation between the two nations.

The FCAS is a major European defence project aimed at developing next-generation combat aircraft. India's participation would mark an expansion of the country's engagement in advanced military aviation technology partnerships.
