India's green economy could create 1.3 crore jobs by 2035, says report

A report has projected that India's green economy could support 1.3 crore jobs by 2035, highlighting the employment potential of the nation's shift toward sustainable development.

The report identifies key barriers to achieving this target and recommends that India revise the National Policy for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, 2015, to prioritise green jobs. It also calls for establishing a National Green Jobs and Skilling Mission to serve as the main implementation framework for scaling up the green workforce across sectors.
