India lacks policy on foreign links for public officials, unlike Russia, Iran, China
Several countries including Russia, Iran, and China have established policies that restrict or govern the appointment of individuals with foreign links to high public office. India, however, lacks any comparable regulatory framework for vetting officials based on their international connections or allegiances.
The absence of such policy measures raises concerns about potential conflicts of interest and foreign influence in India's governance structures, particularly at senior levels where national security and policy decisions are at stake.
