Hyderabad-born MIT astronomer helps uncover possible 'black hole star' from early universe

Astronomers using the James Webb Space Telescope have identified an exceptionally bright, red object from the early universe that may be a previously unknown "black hole star". The study, led by Hyderabad-born MIT astronomer Rohan Naidu, suggests a massive black hole could be concealed within dense hydrogen.
The discovery potentially explains the mysterious "little red dots" observed by JWST in the early universe, marking a significant advancement in understanding cosmic phenomena from the universe's formative era.
