India to establish faceless trade facilitation system by October 2026
India will set up a central processing department within the Directorate General of Foreign Trade to implement a faceless trade facilitation system. The new unit will process trade applications in a faceless, paperless, and jurisdiction-free manner, aiming to reduce processing times significantly.
The system is scheduled for national dedication during the second fortnight of October 2026. The initiative seeks to enhance ease of doing business and streamline procedures for traders and exporters across the country.
