India Monitoring US Bill on Russian Oil Tariffs

India's Ministry of External Affairs is closely monitoring a bill being discussed in the United States that proposes imposing 100% tariffs on buyers of Russian oil, MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said.
Jaiswal stated that New Delhi is tracking the progress of the measure as it moves through Washington. The bill, if enacted, could have significant implications for India's energy imports, as the country has substantially increased its purchases of Russian crude oil in recent years.
