India needs 8-9% annual growth to reach developed nation status by 2047

India is aiming to become a $30 trillion economy by 2047, up from its current size of approximately $4 trillion. To achieve this target, the country needs to sustain annual GDP growth of 8-9% over the coming decades.
Recent economic performance has shown promise. India's gross domestic product expanded at 7.8% during the June quarter, surpassing market expectations and demonstrating the economy's continued momentum.
Reaching developed nation status by 2047 represents a significant long-term economic objective, requiring consistent policy support and investment to maintain the required growth trajectory.
