India Rejects OIC Remarks on Kashmir, Accuses Bloc of Confusing Victim with Perpetrator

India has strongly rejected remarks by the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on Jammu and Kashmir and New Delhi's counter-terror operations in Pakistan. Lok Sabha MP Biplab Kumar Deb, representing West Tripura, delivered India's statement at the UN General Assembly Sixth Committee on Tuesday during a familiarisation visit by 15 MPs.
Deb said the OIC was "unable to distinguish between fact and fiction and cannot differentiate between the victim and the perpetrator." He emphasised India's right to defend its citizens against cross-border terrorism originating from Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, warning of consequences for those harbouring terrorists.
Deb rejected the OIC's "unwarranted reference" to Jammu and Kashmir, urging the bloc to focus on addressing terrorism rather than commenting on India's sovereign actions against terror infrastructure.
