India's economy maintains strong momentum amid global uncertainties, says Chief Economic Adviser
India's economy continues to demonstrate strong momentum despite global uncertainties, according to the Chief Economic Adviser. Domestic factors and exports are driving growth, while the Reserve Bank of India's deposit mobilisation efforts provide significant balance of payments support and a stable floor for the Indian rupee against the US dollar.
All three economic sectors contributed to robust GDP growth in the first quarter. The government credits structural reforms implemented over the past twelve years for yielding beneficial results and sustaining the economy's expansion.
