India and UK to sign pact for developing naval propulsion systems

India and the United Kingdom are preparing to sign a pact aimed at collaborative development of propulsion systems for naval applications. The agreement is expected to strengthen defence ties between the two nations and enhance their maritime capabilities.
The initiative reflects growing defence cooperation between India and the UK in the Indo-Pacific region. Joint development of naval propulsion technology is seen as a strategic move to bolster indigenous defence manufacturing and reduce dependence on external sources for critical naval systems.
