India-US ties in 'uneasy equilibrium', says Chief Economic Adviser

Chief Economic Adviser V. Anantha Nageswaran has characterised the relationship between India and the US as being in an "uneasy equilibrium."
Nageswaran attributed the strained ties to outstanding tariff disputes that originated last year and remain unresolved. The adviser's comments reflect ongoing friction in bilateral economic relations between the two countries.
