Bhuvneshwar Kumar's Experience Will Strengthen India's Bowling for West Indies T20I Decider

India have recalled veteran seamer Bhuvneshwar Kumar for the fifth and final T20I against West Indies in Bengaluru after Arshdeep Singh sustained a shoulder injury during the fourth match. Bowling coach Morne Morkel praised the inclusion, noting that Bhuvneshwar's experience and recent performances for Royal Challengers Bengaluru would provide valuable depth to India's relatively young bowling attack.
Morkel emphasized the need for smarter bowling decisions under pressure, particularly at Bengaluru's high-scoring venue. He highlighted that consistent execution of deliveries such as yorkers requires experience and match time. The ongoing series has seen high-scoring matches, with totals exceeding 200 becoming increasingly difficult to defend.
India won the opening match comfortably by eight wickets while chasing 172, but subsequent performances have exposed vulnerabilities in their bowling. The fifth T20I, scheduled for October 17, will be a crucial contest to settle the series.
