Indonesia seeks return of five orangutans from Odisha wildlife facility

Indonesia has formally sought the return of five orangutans currently kept at a wildlife facility in Odisha. The request marks a diplomatic outreach regarding the animals, which are native to Indonesian forests.
Odisha authorities are examining the matter and assessing the orangutans' original source and legal status. The state government is expected to respond to Indonesia's request after reviewing documentation and protocols governing the animals' custody.
