iPhone 18 Standard Model Delayed to Spring 2027, Supply Chain Suggests

Apple's standard iPhone 18 is expected to miss the company's traditional September launch window, with supply chain evidence pointing to a spring 2027 debut instead. A Taiwanese lens manufacturer revealed that a major American customer—widely understood to be Apple—has pushed back a new product launch to the first quarter of 2027.
Apple is reportedly splitting the iPhone 18 lineup. The company plans to unveil premium models—iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and a foldable device—in September as scheduled. The standard iPhone 18 and a new iPhone 18e would follow in early 2027, marking a departure from Apple's usual unified launch strategy.
