Jadavpur University Dissolves Committee After Student Event Row

Jadavpur University has dissolved the 'Approving and Monitoring for Programmes' committee following a row over clearance granted to a Left student group event. Vice-Chancellor Chiranjib Bhattacharya issued the notification on Tuesday, citing the dispute as reason for the action.

Registrar Debjit Dutta has been tasked with overseeing committee affairs until further orders. The move comes amid tensions surrounding the event approval process at the institution.
