Jaiswal's Costly Mistake Hands Afghanistan Early Breakthrough in Lucknow ODI

Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal fell early in the second ODI against Afghanistan in Lucknow after a costly batting error. Facing Afghanistan pacer Mohammad Saleem in the second over, Jaiswal attempted to slap a short and wide delivery through the off side but mistimed the shot due to the slower pace of the ball.
The ball sailed towards backward point at head height, where fielder Nangeyalia Kharote initially failed to secure the catch before completing it on the second attempt. Jaiswal departed for just 4 runs off 9 balls, visibly disappointed as he walked back to the pavilion. The dismissal marked Mohammad Saleem's maiden ODI wicket and handed Afghanistan an early breakthrough, putting pressure on India's batting lineup.
