JD(U) takes cautious stance on UCC, says will decide after studying Bill

Janata Dal (United) has adopted a measured approach toward the Uniform Civil Code, stating it will examine the legislation in detail before announcing its position. The party plans to consult its coalition partners in Bihar ahead of any formal decision.
Bihar's deputy chief minister said the party will not oppose the code without valid reasons. However, senior JD(U) leader Shyam Rajak had previously indicated the party's reservations about implementing the UCC in Bihar, signalling internal deliberation on the contentious issue.
