Cabinet approves Rs 1,789 crore intelligent traffic system for Delhi
The Union Cabinet has approved a Rs 1,789 crore Intelligent Traffic Management System project for Delhi. The system will feature AI-enabled traffic signals and real-time congestion detection across key corridors in the city.
The project aims to enhance traffic management by integrating existing signals, CCTVs, and AI technology. It will improve movement of emergency vehicles and assist in identifying traffic violations automatically.
