Jindal Global Law School sends professor who called J&K 'Indian occupied Kashmir' to advise JPC on constitutional bills

The Joint Parliamentary Committee examining the Constitution (One Hundred and Thirtieth Amendment) Bill, 2025, along with the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation (Amendment) Bill, 2025, and the Government of Union Territories (Amendment) Bill, 2025, invited expert submissions from institutions and stakeholders.
Jindal Global Law School announced it sent a team led by Executive Dean Professor Dipika Jain to provide expert suggestions to the committee, which is headed by BJP MP Aparajita Sarangi. The team included Associate Professor Arijeet Ghosh, who specialises in Constitutional Law, Human Rights and Criminal Justice Institutions.
While parliamentary committees routinely seek inputs from academics and experts, the inclusion of Ghosh in the delegation advising on constitutional matters concerning Kashmir has drawn scrutiny.
