NIA court frames money laundering charges against Yasin Malik and six others

A National Investigation Agency court has framed money laundering charges against separatist leader Yasin Malik and six others. The court determined there was sufficient material to establish a "strong suspicion" against all seven accused for offences under Section 3 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
Malik, who heads the Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front, has been under investigation in connection with terror-funding allegations. The framing of charges marks a significant development in the NIA's case against the separatist leader and his associates.
