JU campus clash tensions spread to other West Bengal colleges

Student groups at Presidency University and Midnapore College have reacted to recent violence at Jadavpur University (JU), with activists condemning what they describe as hooliganism on campus.

SFI leader Bitan Islam from Presidency University stated that while student organisations like ABVP have the right to operate democratically on campus, violent incidents are unacceptable. "We do not have any problem if the ABVP wants to run their organisation in the campus democratically. However, such hooliganism in the campus is not acceptable," Islam said.

The statements reflect growing student concern about campus violence spreading across West Bengal's educational institutions.
