Artist Jagdish Karjekar Brings Four Decades of Konkan Landscapes to Mumbai Exhibition

Artist Jagdish Karjekar is showcasing his latest exhibition, "Konkan Nature", at Gallery FPH in Mumbai from June 16 to June 30, 2026. The exhibition features nearly 29 acrylic-on-canvas works that celebrate the landscapes and natural beauty of Konkan, a region central to the artist's life and creative work.
The collection captures diverse elements of Konkan's character—tranquil coastlines, fishing harbours, migratory flamingos, and lush greenery—alongside landmarks such as Agardanda Bandar and Shrivardhan Bandar. Each painting draws from Karjekar's personal memories and emotional connection to the region where he grew up.
Karjekar's artistic journey spans over 40 years, driven by a passion that began in childhood. "Painting was never a profession first, it was always a passion," he reflects. The exhibition invites viewers to appreciate the subtle rhythms of the natural world through the artist's vivid colours and intricate detailing.
