Katchatheevu Island Issue Sparks Heated Parliament Debate

A heated debate erupted in the house over the Katchatheevu island ceding issue. DMK MLA Kadhar Batcha, also known as Muthuramalingam, raised concerns by citing details from a policy document. According to the MLA, approximately 1,291 Tamil fishermen have been arrested by Sri Lankan authorities over the past five years.
