KEM Hospital To Get New MRI Machine After Years Of Frequent Breakdowns

KEM Hospital in Mumbai will soon get a new MRI machine after years of recurring technical issues with its existing equipment. BMC Additional Municipal Commissioner Dr Vipin Sharma directed officials to expedite the installation and commissioning during a recent review visit to Seth G.S. Medical College and KEM Hospital. The machine is one of four MRI units procured by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation for deployment across major civic hospitals.
The new facility is expected to provide significant relief to thousands of patients who depend on the tertiary care institution for advanced diagnostic services. During the visit, Dr Sharma also reviewed the Hospital Management and Information System, a digital platform aimed at integrating patient registration, appointments, medical records and billing services to improve transparency and reduce waiting times.
