Kerala launches India's first Elder-Friendly Office Certification

Kerala has launched the Elder-Friendly Office Certification (EFOC), marking India's first initiative of its kind aimed at enhancing accessibility for senior citizens in government offices. The scheme will evaluate institutions across five key domains and award Gold, Silver, or Bronze certification based on performance.

The pilot phase of the certification programme is expected to commence within the current financial year. The initiative seeks to ensure that government offices are adequately equipped to serve the elderly population with improved facilities and services.
