Kerala teacher's portable chemistry lab sparks student interest in experiments

Abhilash Thiruvoth, a teacher at Government Vocational Higher Secondary School for Girls in Nadakkavu, Kerala, has designed a portable chemistry laboratory called 'Rasappetti' to encourage students' interest in experimental learning.
The innovation stocks essential chemistry lab equipment and chemicals in a compact, mobile format. The portable lab aims to make hands-on chemistry education more accessible and engaging for students, particularly in settings where traditional laboratory infrastructure may be limited.
The initiative reflects efforts by educators to foster practical scientific learning and strengthen students' foundational understanding of chemistry through direct experimentation rather than purely theoretical instruction.
