Kishan Reddy urges official recognition of Hyderabad Liberation Day

Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy has accused the Congress and BRS of suppressing the commemoration of Hyderabad Liberation Day. At a round table conference, former Governors Bandaru Dattatreya and Ch. Vidyasagar Rao, Malkajgiri MP Etala Rajender, and BJP spokesperson P.L. Srinivas called on the state government to officially declare September 17 as Hyderabad Liberation Day.

The group also appealed for the inclusion of Operation Polo's history in school textbooks, arguing that the liberation struggle should be part of the state's educational narrative.
