West Indies Match Rare ODI Record With Three Centuries Against India
West Indies produced a dominant batting display in the second ODI against India in Guwahati on Wednesday, with John Campbell, Shai Hope and Amir Jangoo all scoring centuries. Campbell scored 101 off 68 balls with 9 fours and 5 sixes, while Hope made 104 off 94 balls with 8 fours and 3 sixes. Jangoo completed the rare achievement with an unbeaten 100 off 71 balls, striking 12 fours and 2 sixes as West Indies crossed 330 runs.
This marked only the second occasion in ODI history that three batsmen have scored hundreds in a single innings against India. West Indies levelled the feat previously achieved by South Africa, who had three centuries in a 2015 ODI at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai—Quinton de Kock (109), Faf du Plessis (133) and AB de Villiers (119). The Indian bowling attack appeared ineffective throughout the West Indian innings.
