Kolkata Law College Vice Principal resigns after 23-hour student protest over attendance

The Vice Principal of a law college in Kolkata resigned after facing a 23-hour student protest centred on attendance regulations. The VP stated she was targeted and compelled to step down, while students attributed the resignation to their sustained agitation.
The All India Bharat Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) claimed the outcome as a victory. Following the resignation, ABVP members performed a ritual purification of the VP's room using Ganga Jal, marking what they called a cleansing of the space.
