Ladakh announces ₹3,350 crore infrastructure plan with 5 major projects
Ladakh has unveiled an infrastructure development plan worth ₹3,350 crore spanning five major projects. The initiatives aim to enhance air connectivity, road networks and tourism facilities across the region.
The projects are designed to boost economic development and improve connectivity in Ladakh, which has been a priority since it became a separate union territory. Enhanced air connectivity and road infrastructure are expected to facilitate better access for tourists and support local commerce.
The focus on tourism infrastructure reflects efforts to position Ladakh as a key destination while addressing logistical challenges faced by the region due to its geographic location and terrain.
