SC directs Election Commission to set time limit in TMC symbol row

The Supreme Court has directed the Election Commission to provide a reasonable time frame for resolving the dispute between Trinamool Congress factions. The court stressed the importance of timely resolution to avoid prolonged delays witnessed in similar political party disputes.
Senior Advocate Kapil Sibal, representing Mamata Banerjee, argued that the Election Commission's order had left his client without an effective remedy. The court's intervention aims to ensure both factions receive fair consideration while preventing further delays in the matter.
