LeT's Pahalgam mastermind 'Moosa' used Ayurveda to treat bullet wounds in J&K hideout
Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) commander Mohammad Asif, alias Hashim Moosa, used pure honey to treat bullet wounds while hiding in the forests of Jammu and Kashmir, according to officials cited by news agency PTI on Sunday. Moosa, described as one of the masterminds of the 2025 Pahalgam terror attack and the LeT's chief operational commander in the region, was killed by the Army in a high-altitude operation in Yousmarg, Budgam, earlier this week. He was believed to be a former commando of Pakistan army's Special Services Group (SSG).
Unable to access medical care due to the security cordon around his hideout, Moosa allegedly applied honey to his wounds as a treatment method. Officials said photographs of his honey-treated injuries were recovered from the phone of Yasir, his associate, after Yasir was killed in Yousmarg in September. The images were reportedly sent to handlers in Pakistan, who instructed that pure honey be arranged to aid Moosa's recovery.
Moosa sustained his injuries during an encounter in the Dorimal-Gambhir Moghla area of Rajouri during 'Operation Sheruwali'. The operation lasted more than 45 days as security forces searched for Moosa and Yasir, who were hiding in the Poonch-Rajouri forests.
