Lokayukta court sentences ACF to 3 years for disproportionate assets

A Lokayukta court has sentenced an Additional Chief Forest Officer (ACF) to three years imprisonment for possessing disproportionate assets. The investigation found that the officer had accumulated assets worth ₹1,35,29,714.37 that could not be accounted for through legitimate sources of income.
The conviction marks another case of misuse of official position for personal financial gain. The Lokayukta's inquiry established the disparity between the officer's declared income and the assets acquired during his tenure.
