Madras High Court dismisses election petition against DMK's Regupathy

The Madras High Court dismissed an election petition challenging the victory of DMK former Minister S. Regupathy from the Thirumayam constituency. Justice G.K. Ilanthiraiyan rejected the plea filed by TVK candidate C. Chinthamani, who had lost the election by a margin of 1,492 votes.

The petition had contested Regupathy's electoral victory, but the court found no grounds to overturn the result. The dismissal upholds Regupathy's election to the seat.
