Madras High Court denies relief to MBBS student whose college fees were seized by NIA

The Madras High Court has refused to grant relief to an MBBS student whose college fees were seized by the National Investigation Agency (NIA). A bench led by the Chief Justice ruled that the student cannot assert an equitable right to benefit from the fruits of a crime.
The court's decision upheld the NIA's action in seizing the funds, determining that the student had no legal basis to claim ownership or benefit from money allegedly linked to criminal activity.
