Mamata Attacks CEC Over Bengal SIR Row, Accuses BJP of Political Motive

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has criticized the Chief Election Commissioner over the SIR (Supplementary Incidences of Reported) row in the state, contending the entire exercise is politically motivated. Banerjee alleged the SIR process was designed with the explicit intention of helping the BJP capture power in West Bengal.
Banerjee also claimed the ruling BJP is currently in a 'money-moon period,' a reference to what she characterized as the party's financial strength and political dominance. Her remarks come amid ongoing tensions between the state government and election authorities over electoral processes in Bengal.
